Footwear & Fashion Extras magazine review Moda 2012

Despite the increasingly tough and competitive footwear market, a successful time was had by all at NEC's Moda trade show last February and we're pleased to see that our Pod Heritage brand has been included in FE magazine's shoe review. Here's just a snippet of what they had to say:
BRANDS INSPIRE AT MODA FOOTWEAR
Buyers at this season's Moda Footwear showed a renewed enthusiasm for new brands and product for aw12, as both established brands and new exhibitors reported a strong business throughout the three days.
Andrew Marshall, owner of Cumbria footwear chain Strolling 4 Shoes, was among the retailers impressed with both the line-up of the show and the aw product on display. "This season's Moda Footwear was the strongest show I've visited for many years," he says. "Like a lot of retailers at the moment, I'm on the lookout for new ideas to drive trade, and it was obvious that suppliers across the board are working much harder to deliver."
In terms of product, heritage brands remained high on the agenda for many retailers. "We've bought into other brands with strong heritage or a story behind them, including POD, Original Penguin and Bjorn Borg," says Carl Hill, buyer at Plum Soles in Derby.
Jo Taylor, owner of Daddylonglegs Footwear in Suffolk, was also impressed with the standard of brands. "The show was very much alive, which bodes well for the season ahead."
